About South Hills Transmission

Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 amβ5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (412) 462-1200. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

West Homestead is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and West Homestead follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

They definitely know what they are doing. Dropped off my truck for a transmission rebuild and they called me up the next day telling me it's done and it shifts better than when I bought it. I would recommend them to my mother. That saying something.

My TCM went bad and I took my car to several shops for inspection, and was told that it would need replaced or have the transmission replaced, and after calling this place, I was told to just have the entire transmission replaced, and he would charge almost $5000 which is RIDICULOUS! Every other shop that Ive called doesnt charge more than $1500. Im glad I didnt go to this mechanic, wouldve been a HUGE RIPOFF!! CUSTOMERS BEWARE!
